  • Motor suggestions for a mini titan v1

Just picked up a 'new' v1 kit. Got some hs55 and a gyro to use, esc kicking about some where... Can someone suggest a reasonable cheap motor for it, perhaps an hk one? Also will my 2200 fit in this heli, or more a 1800 heli? Ta

This motor is cheap and pretty good http://www.giantshark.co.uk/towerpro...-p-405047.html

2200s will easily fit, I use 2600s in mine without a problem.

No, it flys nicely out if the box, feels just like a TRex 450 to me, I think the Mini Titan is a very under rated heli. Being plastic framed, they also absorb crashes well.

Hi Ruston , building as stock, but have read about the small ball links failing, and people swapping them to align ones. You still flying with original ones?

            Hi
these are great little helis imho.
Just recently built and maidend my second one of these as the first one i owned i converted to scale(cobra ah1w)
Never had a problem with the ball links on mine although i only really started to 3d fly with the latest one although i agree they are small.
Flying mine with an overlander 40a esc giant shark motor esc an assan ga 250 gyro and hitech digi tail servo (5084) but have just literally today ordered some hitech 65 mg servos for cyclic duties as this one is now my 3d learning machine.

The scale one has pretty similar elecs but has tower pro mg 90s on the cyclic and an align gp780 gyro.
Both fly well and i love them both lol. Is yours from the fast lads offer? my second one is
            enjoy

Mine is a beauty but I don't know that much about them. I have read that head problems may cause shakes on some and it applied to the V1 version mostly but I might be wrong. Rock steady is my description for such a small heli.
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.

Hi, yeh it was from their offer. Always fancied one, as I now tt make good gear. I'm using a hobbywing 40 a esc, motor as suggested above, gy520, and some hs65 mg, all this out my now retired b400. I mainly sport fly and with mild 3d, I also fly a Rex 450 pro, and Rex 500, but fancied another 450 size as their quick to charge etc. looking forward to getting it in the air!

Anyone else having trouble fitting the 2200 battery's. It pushes the windscreen off the canopy! Can't get them to fit at all!
