Newbie with some questions.....

Hi there,

Newbie to the Heli scene here. Im quite familiar with RC stuff, but not helis.....

I have bought a Mini Titan, with a JR X3810 controller. The stuff is new. I got it built and set up. The only thing I am missing is a batter and a charger.

Any good advice for a decent Lipo battery and charger for this Heli. I dont wanna pay a fortune.

Any help and tips are appreciated

thats what i used but others will no other options i think the charger has been replaced by a different one now its around 50/60 quid very good to .

These chargers only charge the LiPo? or do they charge other types as well? I would prefer a combo charger, perhaps.

Well its probably the best charger on the market for your application. Ideally i would charge NIMH/Nicad/lead acid on another charger but thats more dosh. Its better having a dedicated lipo charger IMO. The added bonus is you can then charge your lipos and TX/RX packs at the same time if you run them from a descent PSU with 2 outputs. Saying that the new Cellpro Multi 4 charger is basically the exact same charger but does other battery types also. So thats going to be the better option Both these chargers have built in balancers which is a seperate unit on alot of other chargers.

I use a multiplex charger that charges all batteries .. Only downside is its 12 volt only but I have a power supply for when its in the house ...that and I have to have a seperate balancer for it as well .. Does what it says on the tin tho

I'm using an Align Lipo (3S1P 11.1V 2250mAh/40C) ~£40.00
and a Fusion LX41B charger ~£60; not bad for the price, has built in balancer, and can be powered from 12V or Mains.

The link supplied is for the cellpro 4S MULTI which will do other battery chemistries as well.

They also cell the cellpro 4S which will only do lipo but is about £15 cheaper

I have got the standard 4S and highly recommend the cellpro chargers.
