  • 35MHz to 2.4GHz Conversion

I want to convert my Mini Titan from a 35MHz system to a 2.4GHz system as I understand the advantages of the latter which seems the standard now. I have a DX6i TX which I would like to use instead of the supplied TX (T4 Skymaster I think) which doesnt seems that good to me - the touch / quality / feel.

I bought my Mini Titan as an ARTF package from ModelZone last year and it was my first heli, but it was an impulsive buy, as I soon started on CXs instead.

I assume such a conversion is simple - what do I need to replace? The receiver for one, but what about the ESC? Any recommendations or suggestions on what make/type/model/part no's I should use for the conversion?

Any other comments or experiences on this would be appreciated - thanks a lot!

Something like an AR6100e will be just fine for a mini titan, or even a 6200 with remote receiver.

The second option is the better receiver, however you need to make sure you have the space on the model to fit it.

Both will work with either the DX6i or the DX7 should you upgrade in the future.

I've 'converted' my Mini Titan with the Spektrum 6200 with remote receiver. Great choice.

You will route JUST your Rudder Servo through the standard ACERC Gyro on-top of the MT. All your other components, cyclic Servos/ESC should be routed directly into your new Spektrum Receiver.

I mounted the main 6200 unit on the small shelf under the Tail base, with the satellite receiver on the small shelf where the existing FM receiver is stuck (left side of fuselage).

You will get a more locked-on feel, with more fluid feedback.
