  • help with Mini-T or 450's

Trying to track my Mini Titan 325SE but each time I adjust tracking it seems to track out both ways.
Its not the blades or feather shaft as these have been changed.
Half a turn on the link/s tracks it one way or other & tracks noticeable amount enough for concern.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

check all the balls mate... they have a tendency to loosen. Im gathering you have checked all the obvious? ie main shaft/feathering shaft etc Lokitite the screws in if ya find any loose ones. Especially the blade grip and flybar control arm ones. I had it happen one time and even after checking the whole head and wiggling all the balls i still missed it. Caught it second time round though, was the ball on the main blade grips had loosened off ever so slightly but enough to make it come up with the same symptons you are describing. Double check your linkage lengths are the same too. 1 turn on the long link is equivalent to half a turn on the small one going to the grips. Make sure the T logo is on the outside of the link. They are supposed to only go on 1 way.
    Cheers

Hi Lee I've set her up with Video Links you sent me surprised me needed very little adjustments but final results have shown on the tracking, I will check your advise.

Mini T is very prone to poor tracking.

A few things that help. Dont Fold back the blades into a blade holder. Just leave them extended. It prevents the Dampners taking a Set.

The Jesus bolt if its over tightened it cause the block to become Oval and it Rocks a little. A little smear of 5 Min Epoxy before assembly. This is especially so with the plastic Headblock but applies to both.

Before Flight with both blades fully extended rock them on the dampners and leave them in the middle point of the 'Give' you feel.

Often the tracking corrects Itself once its been in the air for a short time or by giving it sharp Cyclic and/or Pitch input.

            hope that helps
