  • Mini Heli

    Hi,

I had a clear up yesterday and removed some bits from some planks I had and I was wondering if any of the parts would be suitable for a mini titan?

    400 Brushless out runner motor
    20 amp speed controller
    11.2v 1800ma 3 cell lipo
4 9g mini servos (good quality futaba)
    6 channel mini receiver

I already have a raptor 30 but it would be nice to have a mini electric for the garden etc...

If this lot is not more suitable for another mini heli please let me know...

    Thanks

i would have thought the reciever, servos and battery would be ok. i think the esc+ motor will not be powerfull enough

That sounds ok so all I will need is a kit with motor, esc+ and a gyro.

What gyro's can I get away with?

That depends on what your preference is on hwo the tail holds
Your best bet would be to get a GY401 or a LogicTec 2100, plus suitable tail servo.

You can go the cheap route, but my experience of these "budget" gyros is, well, not good...

        Cheers,

I have got a GY410 on my 30 and I would agree they are great just wanted to know if was a cheaper option.

I am not a great pilot but I would like a eleci heli for the house and garden as I have a few bits it make scene to go for a titan rather than a Blade CX type..

I use a standard Align gyro on my 450s.

With careful setup it holds the tail quite well.

Its okay for flying around and hovering practice (nose in etc) but I hope to upgrade to a better gyro later in the year as I hope to use the 450 for trying stuff out on before using the Raptor 50.

              Cheers

PS. Servo is a Futaba 3154.
