Ive also found a supplier that does steel tube:

            3/8"OD x 0.036" wall Stainless Steel Tube
            (9.53mmOD x 0.91mm wall, 7.71mm ID)

Its going to weigh a little bit more than the stock stuff ( I have a stock TT on the way, I'll weigh both) but the heli is nose heavy anyway. I believe the standard TT end pieces are 7.5mm OD, so 7.7mm ID tubing should work ok (Maybe with a layer of tape, I dont know, im ordering a small amount to see how it fits)

I'll let you all know how I get on - hopefully it works and we can all have cheap torque tubes, I've found a supplier that does 25mm ali stuff for 4 quid a meter, even cheaper than the mikado option (Although more work)

I also got told about using an E700 tail gearbox with the new G4.1 booms - but that doesnt seem to work to me (25mm OD G4 boom vs 22mm OD E700 boom)

Anyone know anything about this? I heard they changed the mounting type at the tail end and this is why.

Also, I think I've found a supplier of 8mm OD, 0.25mm wall stainless tube.

Anyone want some lengths? im going to order a couple.

Since posting this thread in 2013 the Logo 700 has been brought into production.

Total length 800mm and 25.5 diameter so almost perfect fit.
