Grab with the needle nose pliers and pull, they come off really easily.

Yeh its one of those where you wish you had kid sized hands to deal with such a small awkward pieces. Over the years I've had a few heli's that use these generally high spec machines in terms of quality and robustness but atleast you know that the pins won't be coming out for certain.

That was the most challenging part of the build for me. The rest of the build was just stunning!!!

Thanks for bringing that memory up, my boom and TT nearly put me in hospital. Damn bearings came unstuck and my hand met boom causing surprising loss of blood.

Would applying some oil into the boom allow the torque tube to go in any easier ?

Yeh thats a tough one my trick is to put some washing up liquid in the inside of the tube with a cloth use the TT plastic tube to clean the inside of the tube, then around the inside lip of the tube apply grease, position the tube drive till the bearing holder is on the edge of the tube and use my thumb to push the bearing holder edge onto the inside of the tube and then use a spanner around the other end of the bearing holder and gentle tap it down into the tube until the other end is in.... then turn the the tube the otherway around and tap it on the floor making sure its vertical until the second bearing holder is onto the edge of the tube drive then repeat the thumb and spanner tap and so on....
              Cheers

I've uploaded a video showing the play in the tail grip assembly.

I asume this is correct and when the system is loaded /rotating it will bring the thrust bearings into play ?

Is this play similar to what you guys have on the tail grips ?

I have no slop whatsoever in my tail grips, there seems to be a hell of a difference between mine and yours surinder. Did you put both the bearing spacers in either side of the thrust bearing?
Also ive got rid of the end float on my output shaft, tried what Rob t suggested but that didnt sort it so i put a shim in and its perfect now.
Got to say the quality of the parts on this heli are outstanding! Just got to set the beast x up and throttle and ill hopefully be looking at a maiden tommorrow!

EDIT: forget what i just said about my tail grips think ive just had a brain lapse lol, mine have the same slop as yours

I agree with you guys the tt bearing holders are a pain.

I've got most of the build done now. Next week I'll be doing the electronics.

                        Heres a couple of pictures:

It's an amazing machine very nice quality through and through. Really can't wait to get it in
                            The air.

I recall you are using an Align 750mx 530kv Stuart. I was thinking of using the 700mx 510kv
What is the difference between the two apart from the Kv rating?
Also are you using the stock pinion?

I'm also considering Align 615 for cyclics and 655 for the tail.

ESC wise I think Kontronic 120

I have the HC-3SX which I am using already to go.

I'd like to hear from some of the other guys what setup are you guys running on your 720e ?
