yeah, i found the g4 one of the sweetest build ever, second only to the logo 600se, easy peasy lemon squeasy...

Dont skip over the manual too much though, and just in case u do, like i did, its swash down for positive pitch, i spooled up and was like WHAT THE ****!!! when it started lifting off with a few revs on haha..lucky it came down ok :P

I didn't remove the swash tension bolt. I checked it for looseness, and it wasn't, so I left it. 16 flights later it is still fine

Same goes for my Nitro, but that's seen over 150 flights so far and no issues.

        Cheers,

Just keep on building won't be long before yours done the servo setup is a doddle the links are virtually all pre-made to size bar the tail. Just be gentle on pushinf the elevator 'A' arm onto the swash plenty of the old TT's had a habit of snapping - I don't think many do in the new one but I took it gentle and applied it slowly.

                    any time you need it.....

I will say however, how good the g4 looked in the flesh, very impressive heli. nice idea with the non adjustable links and locking mechanism for the head and swash leveling. couple of minor issues would be the exhaust bolts acces and having to drill through that nice new spangley paint to get the starter shaft in, but this is the electric thread so I will but out now.

The exhaust nuts, they where litlle &**&^s to go on!
I end up super gluing the nuts to the plate, left them overnight and Bob is your uncle!

I think I've made a mistake building the head. I have made the same mistake you guys have just pointed out, I think.
At the moment when the swash moves up the pitch goes positive and negative when I pull down. I'm so used to
                        doing thing the Align way

I definitely need to pay more attention to the Manual

You guys have averted what could have been a very costly mistake.
I can't thank you enough for your input.

I think the grip need to be flipped?

                            Cheers Stuart.

I have now flipped the grips and am getting downward swash movement to create positive pitch.

I also had the washout base the wrong way round. For now I have locked off the washout base right at the top
touching the rotor hub. Is this the correct position for it?

Luckily I had not committed to any lock-tite yet.

Here is a short video of the head doing its stuff hopefully correctly now

Is this what is meant by leading and trailing edge control?
As on my Align builds its upward swash = positive pitch

As per the manual i'm now moving onto the tail boom assembly. lets see if I can do that correctly without
                            F@*King up

Yip the right way round now.....

On the tube drive - mark two positions not equal distant slightly off - light roughen up a dap of expoy, position your two bearings and holders on the tube drive and leave it over night to set in the meantime build your frames, motor mounting, legs and tail boom bracket that lot will keep you going....
                              Cheers

                                Thinking about electronics now

                                I have a HC-3SX already and I'm thinking of using an Align 700mx (510kv)

I'm also considering Align 615 for cyclics and 655 for the tail.

ESC wise I think Kontronic 120 Heli Jive may be?

                                What do you guys think?

And what are you guys running in your setups?
