Raptor E720 and E820

I have both an E720 and E820 Electric in build - Do I need to tap the boom and pin the tail or is it not needed? If it is needed can someone let me know where they drilled it etc. Thanks in advance Bavers

It's a good idea to pin the boom as it can work its way loose over time.
Just pick a spot near the rear of the tailboom casing.

I actually never pinned mine, but have had the boom slowly work its way out a few times.
It's fairly easy to recognise when it is happening though as the vbar doesn't really like the wrong pitch on the tail, and boom slippage changes the pitch on the tail :-)

Thanks Rob, appreciate that. I was thinking it's probably more critical at the tail case end?? Do they slip around or am I ok?? Had a bad experience with a fusion 50 tail case rotating on me - it spun around very fast indeed ended in an expensive repair.... So it's now pinned.
