Just seen that too, going to order it now.

Now that i know one of my e700s has the old ratio, how can i tell if the other has the old or new ratio?

You said you stripped the old ratio. You can get the new strengthened gears with the old ratio (as ship with the V2s), so it could have been either type of gear.

Ah ok, I stand corrected. Mine definitely was the old ratio, early non upgraded set and when I upgraded as said it was two gears in the pack, auto gear and tail drive gear. Been good as gold since and the tail is certainly better on 105's.

I did consider the speed up when I bought the V2 gears, but the only experience I read about was that someone fitted it, it caused the tail to hum badly, so they went back.

thats when you run too high headspeeds - heard that as well > 2080 rpm actually
