  • Help identify my raptor 50

I've got a second (or third, or fourth) hand raptor 50 which I think is a titan but I'm a little unsure.

I'm still in the early stages of learning to fly using simulator and a blade 120SR but I'd like to get my raptor to a stage where I can start thinking about flying it.
Currently it has a rather nice looking fuselage which I don't fancy wrecking on the first flight so I'm looking to replace with a standard canopy and skids. The problem is that without knowing what variant it is I'm not entirely sure what parts I'll need.

Could people please review the pictures below and offer their advice?

It wouldnt matter which 50 it is if your just replacing the canopy and skids unless you want the titan canopy which is carbon and very expensive i would go with the plastice one which is cheap and cheerful the titan tail boom is about 5 mil longer than the standard 50
    Raptor 50 v2
    Raptor 50 titan se
Raptor X50n to go in sea king fuz
    Raptor 90
    dsx9 mk2
600 size Sea king being built
Bo-105 in red bull colours waitng to be built

Hi Bellers, no expert I'm afraid but looks just like my Raptor 50 which is a V3 Titan. Yours has a few minor differences the elevator links have been upgraded from my plastic ones to your metal? Ones etc.
i have a spare plastic canopy in white from a Raptor 30 V2 which should fit fine. Pm me your address if any use.
i am sure one of the more experienced Raptor fans on here will be able to tell you everything else about yours and will be along shortly.
really nice fuselage by the way! Do you know which make it is?
      Good luck

The rotorhead looks like the SE as it's all ali and does not have the little logo on the hub like the Titans do. I had a Raptor 50SE for a while, currently have a regular 50 V2. I don't remember if the SE had the boom mounted tail servo though. In any case pretty much all the Raptor V2 and onward canopies will fit.

Looks like it's this one: https://www.rcspares.uk.com/rc/produ...ge-red-pv6039r

I've only just noticed that it is advertised on the thunder tiger website and you can (or could) buy it as a titan kit.

Are you sure you wouldn't mind parting with your spare canopy?

Is it just the angle or does the one in your picture have a larger bulge behind the main rotor. They do indeed look very smart and I can't wait to get it into the air (although that might be a little way off for now!)

Thank you all for the info.
                    So here's the progress:
Sheldrake has very kindly supplied a canopy and I've bought a tail fin and some skids from ebay. Can anyone think of anything else I may need to get it back to factory(ish) standard?
