Hi all, I need your advice.
The tail belt on my V2 was showing a few signs of wear - one single thread of the 'string' that goes through the belt was fraying on the very bottom. Only very slightly, but being cautious I decided to change the belt.
On fitting it I found that the little pin that secures the tail pulley to the tail shaft had come out about 1mm to one side. Not rubbing the casing or anything, but not centrally located either. So, again being cautious, I pushed it out (which took some pressure as I had Locktited it in) and I then filled the locating hole with Locktite & pushed the pin back in.
Now I've got the jitters

By pushing the pin out & in it will have loosened the interference fit with the plastic pulley and may have made the pin even looser. Maybe, maybe not. The problem is 1) If it flies out - goodbye heli, 2) It's not visible - so I can't watch it.
I'm thinking of using a soldering iron to peen over the plastic at either end of the hole to form a 'bung' to stop the pin coming out, or using epoxy to bung up the hole.
Has anyone done this?
I'm off for some lessons with Robgt on Sunday & don't want to make a complete to**er of myself with the heli exploding
Advice please.
Thanks
David
