  • Header tank

This could be one of a long line of questions concerning my Raptor 30 so I hope you guys dont get fed up of me asking , i`m gonna fit a Quick UK header tank to my heli but need to know if i`ll need to buy the separate fixing kit for £6.07p or can i just use an ordianary machine screw with a Nyloc nut fitted please, it`s not the money, just don`t want to buy something I don`t need thats all guys, thanks.

What fixing kit are you looking at? I susspect its the one that spaces the header tank off the frame so it fits passed the main tank on helis like the Trex 600/700. If I remember the raptor does not need this.

No, you dont need that, just bolt it on like the photo above.

This is not that fitting kit, but see how on a trex600 it needs to be spaced out to clear the main tank, thats what that kit does

If you dont already have the header tank, I use this one

              PV0311 Header tank

Its quite a bit cheaper and does the same job

Just want to check - you do know you dont actually need a header tank? - I never had one on my Raptor 30, I just added one when I upgraded to a 50 and started doing loops and rolls etc.

As a word of warning, as they are sticking out the side they can get damaged in crashes

I found the Raptor ones to be among the best as they do not leak and hold the pressure well......
Heli central...Basildon RC helis...strictly helis only...

I was advised to get one by an experienced heli flyer in the club i`m in, the one I was going to get was the Quick Uk one with the red fixing bracket, my Raptor has a red tail boom so I was going to carry on the red theme, i`ll have a word with him see the reason he told me why I need a header tank, thanks again though guys.
