  • Raptor 50 tail disassembly

I had a tail heavy landing which didn't doo too much damage other than bending the boom and snapping the tail casing so I'm trying to rebuild.

Problem is, I can't remove the tail pulley set (below) from it's axle

I've tried pushing the pin through but it doesn't want to budge

Any suggestions on how to sort this out?

    Ta!

    Hi.

Did you assemble the heli yourself ?

I ask because there is a hex grub screw fitted down the end of the shaft which locks in the pin.

    Edit.

There is a common fault here where sometimes the screw in question loosens, and pin rides out in flight, burning through the tail casing. Before putting the screw back in. drop some loctite in the hole first, that should prevent this.

I used to run the quick uk tail pulley and shaft much more secure as it attaches to the shaft with a grub screw

knight has a roll pin that is a friction fit. the new metal one has a grub screw straight into the shaft like the quick raptor one.
