with the engine still in the heli i would remove the engine backplate and look at the rear bearing
check that the cage between the balls isn't breaking up and check that the balls look ok
if in doubt change the rear bearing
if ok
refit the back plate
get some heli fuel with at least 18% oil content (as per the sc instructions for warranty)
set the main needle to 2 tuens open from fully closed (don't force the needle in tight as it will damage its seat)
and try again
any signs of overheating stop the engine , let it cool down, open the needle a bit more and try again
Sidwinder is car fuel absolute no, no in a Heli as it does not have the correct oil content. Also not a great idea to tether a helicopter down as it will not 'breath' properly and likely will run hot. In fairness I have never seen nor have I tested an SC36H engine I am familiure with SC fixed wing engines which are OK but not great and comments pprior to this are correct the carb is not good for heli's where you do require good mid range control particuarly if you are a newbie and if the engine is a small one like a 36 then it likely to run hot anyway. My advice would be get hold of a good OS50Hyper seconhand probably around £50 to £70 and you will have few engine problems. Use a good fuel with 18% oil minimum and NO CASTOR in it.
Low needle in 12 'o' clock position main at 38 clicks out and it will work a treat, 'simples'.
