Well,, tis finished,
Just finished putting the decals and bling on my TT Agusta scale kit.
I built and flew the 90 the other week to make sure the innards a were ok and tuned the engine,
Used an os70 engine as I don't need the power of a 90 for scale flying,
I've only flown 50s and my F1 carbon 61 till now and I was amazed at how the 90 handled with a 70 engine,
Started to wonder if I should get a 90 engine and not bother putting the scale kit on but as I'd set my mind on flying 90 size scale I went ahead with the build,
The scale kit was up to the usual high quality and standard you would expect from TT with a reasonable manual to guide me through the installation.
I already have a TT MD-530 kit on a 50 so after fitting that didn't expect any problems with the Agusta kit,
I assemble the retracts as per manual, length of links etc, tested it and it worked perfectly, much to my surprise as they were the first set of retracts I've done, (must say something for the manual)
the rest of the build was pretty strait forward and I enjoyed doing it,
The only slight problem I had was matching the front nose section onto the body and had to adjust the cross supports making them a bit wider to stop canopy being distorted,
The manual does say cut the canopy and adjust to fit but I don't like the idea of having to cut something that should fit, so a few hours and lot of swearing later I came to a compromise and I'm about 95% happy with it,
I test flew it last weekend which went well although as its silver and Grey and without the red decals I found it hard to keep orientation against the Grey sky,
Now its complete I'm looking forward to flying it this weekend and film the flight
"Must remember to lower the retracts before landing"
