  • X.50 Build Q ... muffler fitting screws

    Building first Heli ....
This is X50 withRL53 engine and Hi-Flow 3D redline exhaust.
Come to fitting exhaust and find that the nut ‘fouls’ on the throttle actuator lever,

and in fact if I leave nut off ... just the screw on its'own fouls.

Am I missing something ... or do I need to remove some ofthe end of the throttle lever ? ... I can’thave fitted the lever wrong as it came already fitted to engine.

    Hi,
Like all helis I've built the servo link to the throttle goes on top. Looking round the web I found this picture which illustrates this. Therefore, just trim the lower part of the arm to clear the muffler.
Don't forget, you want your throttle servo to link at 90 degrees and the throttle arm at 90 degrees to the link when at mid stick and mid throttle.

Thanks ... I had followed the manual it showed fitting it to middle hole at bottom of lever arm ... and I knew no better: (I do now)
