  • Raptor Fuel tanks - do they come in different sizes?

    Hey folks,

Got a fuel tank that is sitting in front of me that came with the Raptor, but it seems too small for the heli.
Is this possible? It isn't wide enough for the frame, so doesn't locate and hold in place?

    Cheers

If this is the Raptor 30 you mentioned in an earlier post, check that the tank hasn't had the plastic protrusions that keep it in place in the frame crushed.

It is not a tight fit, but it should not slide out unless it has been damaged.

Sounds like that might be a header Tank , a small auxilliary tank that fits in line with the main tank .
What Raptor do you have ??

This is definately a main tank - looks just like the manual and all other Raptors I've seen. Not a header tank.
The protrusions are in perfect order, in fact the tank looks brand new with no fuel put through it at all - just seems too small - I think a good 1cm thinner than the frame it should be held in with?

If it's for a 30/50 raptor then you may have the v1 tank that's smaller.
          Cheers Daren

Ah, that may explain it - as mentioned tank looks fine in itself, just not big enough for this frame. Didn't realise there was a difference in size.

Just wanted to say a huge public thank you to Richard (Shoot51) for sending me a tank that is the correct one - I've transferred over the clunk etc and it fits perfectly into my V2.
So the refurb/build continues and hopefully it'll be up in the air soon!

                      Cheers again Richard! Top man.
