  • R50 After run oil

Guys - R50 Titan with an OS50SXH - fits as snug as a bug in a rug.
So how can I put ARO in?
I have a 'squeezy dropper' like off a bottle of nose drops and even attached a bit of fuel line to give more distance, but it's impossible to see the air intake and access it at the same time.

On my 90 there is just enough room to be sure it goes in, but not the 50.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks
    Keith

I dont use afterun often but when I do.. I usually take the backplate off... drop it on the bearing and then a few on the piston liner when the piston is tdc and then turn it

One of these J Perkins 5508660 - VALVE SPOUT BOTTLE 200cc AVS 5675 . remove fuel pipe from the carb and attach this with some ARO in it, crank the engine until it sucks some in? Not tried it but was a way I thought of the other day thinking the same thing!

That's exactly how I do it. Quick and easy and works just fine. Burn off excess fuel with a few dabs with the starter with the glo on. Few drops in, turn over engine, job done. Never get rusty bearings.
Oh and don't waste money on ARO from model shops for a tiny bottle. Go down Halfords or something and get a big bottle of Automatic transmission fluid for a few quid that will last you yonks. It's exactly the same thing. Just a thin oil.
        Cheers, Rich

I either take the backplate off or take the plug out to put it in ... Doing it the plug way just make sure you spin the engine with a rag in the end and fire the excess off or it will gunge your plug .. Personally I have tried the carb one once and will never again as it clogged the carb that much it was easier to change it lol ....Oh and also if not flying for a while make sure you turn it over once in a while to stop the oil sticking and siezing the engine ....
