  • Raptor 30 or 50 best

I have been flying my Raptor 30 exclusively for the last 4 weeks daring not to get the 50 out because of a bad spell 5 year or so aggo with a rappy 50.
I got the nerve up on Saturday to give it a go & I was blown away. It's so much more easyer for me to fly than my 30 which doesnt make any sence to me. I was easily turning it towards myself & flying across the flight line without any hesitation like I am with the 30 & I was able to hold a much nicer hover & even managed a couple of piro's.
Is it all in my mind or is the 50 that much better than the 30.

For sure the 50 is better than the 30.

With the increased mass & blade span, it makes for a more stable machine, as well as being more powerful.

Just think how stable a 90 would be

    Now begins the addiction.

Yeah same as you when I first flew my Knight after the Rappy 30 I was blown away at how much smoother it was.

Then I got a direct comparison upgrading my 30 to a 50, 550 blades for 600 completely different machine.

a 90 I may struggle to get in the car
      All the best
      Tony.

In terms of cost and flying experience the Raptor 30 or 50 argument is a no brainer, 50 every time.

but will it still be a no brainer between the align 600E and align 500E, the cost factor (lipos) being more significant!

They have to get the 500E to market first before we can do comparisons but you are spot on the extra battery cost would outweigh the benefit of the 600E over a 500E untill batterys last forever that is.
I wish I had checked out Managers Robbe machines now I quite fancy a 90 & I already have an estate car so transport wont be a problem.

I think i degenrrated back to that old nail i got cause the 60 is a bit intimadating for a novice but it is a lot more stable than my grubby little skuttle least i didnt brake it last week

I can undertsand you going back to the scuttle Steve I laid off flying both my 30 & 50 for weeks & messed about flying the Mini Titan. I did that because it felt easier to hover & thats what I needed then.
I'm now hooked on nitro helis because I get more flying in per hour.
I especialy seem to be dialed into the Blinged 50 with its 3050 digis & lots of alloy bits, it does fly a hell of a lot better than the 30 which is pretty much stock. I am now after something bigger that I can see well in the circuit because I cant get more than 50 feet away without panicking with what I have.
