  • R90 Clutch assembly

Guys - refitting Moonmanflyer's 91HZ into his airframe (well they are mine now obviously)

When fitting the fan to the engine spindle, the manual says to just tighten it by hand and not use a piston lock (I don't have one anyway)
Then to grip the fan with a towel and tighten the lock nut with some threadlock and a wrench.
Is this the perceived wisdom here - Will that be tight enough fit?
I guess the motor rotation will prevent that lock-nut from coming undone.

Any tips very welcome as I'm treading on virgin snow here
    Thanks - Keith

lock the engine, tooth brush handle down through the carb hole (remove the carb)
apply loctite the thread on the fan hub, tighten v tight
apply loctite the lock nut and tighten v tight
make sure you have no bits of tooth brush handle in the engine, if you do clean it out, including removing the engine back plate

fit clutch and then fit the engine
allow the loctite to cure before starting/turning the engine over via the fan assemble
