  • My Raptor 50 titan

I bought it second hand from Galaxy in Ipswich last saturday, and had an afternoon with Darren at rapidrotors with it on Sunday, managed some hovering , a,little nose in, and an attempt at a circuit.
Quite pleased really after 4 weeks with my msr and 2 weeks on phoenix.

I have always thought the Raptors have a nice look to them, and they are pretty tough and fly quite well. The first heli I really made progress with was a Raptor 30 and It was solidly reliable and gave me lots of confidence.

Nice to hear your happy with the Raptor, you will learn to fly it well with Darren he is a great pilot and teacher, I could not have progressed without him, hope to get over to him for a few hours in a week or two.

Echo all this - as a recent convert to Raptors - had my 50 for a couple of months but not flown it too much yet. What I have noticed is how stable and....well, just flyable they are.
I have some lessons coming up in a weeks time up in York, which should allow me to try stuff I can do on Phoenix LIVE, without fear of crashing my beautiful Rappy.
Also building a 90 now as well, so I'm 'proper hooked'

Here's my Rappy 50 from a few months ago. It now has the gold boom off the 30 and orange tail fins, an OS46 and 550mm blades. I think that pipe will be coming off soon and I'll put the regular Hatori back on. I wanted to try this pipe just out of curiousity but I don't think there's much difference in power and it's a bit cumbersome.
