Hi All,
Just thought you might like to know that this white driven tail gear (Part No PV0379) needs some minor modification in order to work correctly.
This gear can be retro fitted to any of the 30/50 V1 or V2 helis and needs the same mod for all, as follows;
Take some sand paper or a sanding wheel in something like a dremmel tool and sand the inside of the gear until it slips over the outer sleeve of the auto rotation one way bearing without binding on it, otherwise it will scrub off most of the head speed in an auto.
If you leave it as it is you will get the driven tail effect, but you will also be driving the clutch which will cause the engine to dragg the clutch as it wont have fully disengaged when you start an auto, which will result in having little or nothing left to land with at the bottom of the auto 8O
Cheers,
Pete.
