  • servos on a 60/90

    hello...all...

i keeps seeing jr 591 servos on raptors...
    are these any good...??

  • #2
yep as good as standard servos get, depends on the model and flying style... no good even on the throttle for me, they'll get most people into basic 3D on 30 50 size
    cheers Lee

If it ain't broke fix it until it is
yes i'm an idiot and no i couldn't care any less

591's are only 5kg pull i believe .. fairly solid though the outputs don't seem to get piston slap like other cheapies

was thinking of pulling my s9252/s9255...off my 60...and fitting jr591...so can sell the heli......

          lol....not that i realy wont to do that....as s9252 and s9255 are the boys..lol

gona get me a knight or rappy 50...as runing all these two rappys 90 and a 60 hit the pocket hard..
(no that dont me ive crashed them...as i do all my crashes on the sim....lol))

just when i bought my 90 rappy it had jr591s on it..i never flown with cheapie....servo....so this should be fun.

Im thinking about getting the raptor 50
id go for the knight but the raptor has been around a bit longer and is a well proven desgin, and well i could always get a knight later to,
ya gotta have more than one aint ya :-)

Ah well to me the Knight kind of makes sense its around 100 pounds cheaper than a titan... With that you could buy 3152 x3 for ccpm on it and then you have a Heli plus servos for the price of a titan.

Get a Knight dude , you've seen all the new ones down our field having more airtime that the other 50 sized helis (and 90's too) that we own, surely that must mean something .

591s are pretty crap. not really enough torque for spiritied flying and about as accurate as stirring porridge.

absolute minimum spec i would use on a 90 is 9252 on collective and 3152 on cyclic.

ideal would be 9255 or 9351 on collective with 9252 or 9255 on cyclic with a 3152 on the throttle with a rev lock or ATG.

                        lol.....straight to the piont,,,lol..cheers ade....i like it.

                        ...s3152????.....why would i need a servo like that 4 a revloc..??....im lost here..

in the setup for the revloc you get the chioce of servo settings..?standard or digital servo..?

                        this is the strange bit...
so if i fit a standard s3001 or a s146......what differance it there
......but what differance in digital mode.....as ive seen some revlocs with jr8700g,,,,,,,

                        yes trevo ,,,,,,,small 50 size .....knight50 sport,,,,and a rappy 50se,,
carnt have 1 without the other,,lol..

but flying the 50size heli will limit what dazs i can fly shurly,,high winds..((all good for fun))..

where as the 60/90 love strong winds,lol...

about as accurate as stirring porridge
true not gonna match any digi... but still probably one of the better stanard servos
                            cheers Lee
