I have an x50 nitro flybarred with a gp900 gyro/receiver, cannot power it up, no lights, although worked o.k. in the past? can anyone recommend alternative set-up if I can't get another the same?
Thanks, Mike.
Don't know about gyros, you could probably get one on ebay since not so many people use flybar these days (I sold a Spartan a while back).
You could probably also use a flybarless device... I know Spirit supports flybar mode. Advantage is that you get self-level/rescue and are half-way to switching to flybarless, though it's more expensive going this way.
I for one prefer using a full receiver to satellites. You've got thicker more reliable cables, and Spektrum satellites are very easy to brown-out because they run off a low voltage. But up to you.
I've a couple of Align GP750 Gyros sitting in a box in the shed, don't know for sure what state they're in as I've never flown them myself, but they came off 600N flybar models and by all accounts were flying fine when I bought them. If you want them, they're yours.
On my x50 i have a separate reciever with satellite and a spartan quark brilliant gyro works a treat and so easy to set up i also use them on my other helis
set them up once and forget about it. go to spartan website as they are on offer now.
Or go to the for sale section on the 1st page there is a page blades various sizes which has been put on by angelos and the quark is on offer for £37 .bargain
