If you've bought a Battery Eliminating Circuit (BEC), it seems somewhat odd if you don't eliminate a battery with it!
What size are your main packs? On my Goblin, I have the BEC Pro wired into just one of the two 6S packs to fly the heli. Wiring diagrams can be found on the Castle Creations page : Castle Creations | CC BEC and CC BEC Pro
I don't know of anybody who uses switches.Tom

+1 on Tom's advice, the whole point of a Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) is to eliminate the need for a separate battery to power the receiver/servos etc.
The two output wires from the CC BEC should go to the two horizontal sets of pins on the 3GX, the ones below the pins where you plug in the servos. One labeled 'battery in' and the other 'SBus/battery out'.Goblin Kraken, SoXos Strike 7, XLPower Specter, Goblin Black Thunder T, Goblin 700 Speed, Goblin 770 Comp Carbon, Trex 700X, Kasama Dune, Henseleit TDR

You using this in a Leccy model or intending to put it in a Nitro bird ? Looks like I was a minute too late with this reply LOL.Originally posted by michaelsnny View Posthello folks castle pro came today more advice needed what would be better 2cell 7.4 lipo or 11.1 3cell 2 leads from castle pro 1 goes to battery in on 3gx 2 not sure. can 3gx be powerd from any spare port and lastley switch options has anyone got a suggestion how to wire a switch into this or do i scrap switches all together every ones support has really helped and saved loads thnx
If it is going in a nitro, maybe you ought to think about vibration issues as it was probably designed to work on electric machines.Last edited by Phill. H; 20-02-2015, 06:06 PM.Too many helis and planks, well that's what she says.

Doh!.. Nitro...That would explain the battery for sure! But in that case you could eliminate the BEC and just use a 2s LiFe battery.
The CC BEC Pro is intended to be a HV BEC that works off the main flight battery on electric models, so you may have issues running it off a lower voltage Rx pack. The spec only goes down as far as 16v input (4s): Castle Creations | CC BEC and CC BEC Pro I'd guess a 3s LiPo would probably be ok too as long as your output was set less than 8v or so.Goblin Kraken, SoXos Strike 7, XLPower Specter, Goblin Black Thunder T, Goblin 700 Speed, Goblin 770 Comp Carbon, Trex 700X, Kasama Dune, Henseleit TDR

Plenty of folks I know run a Castle BEC pro on their Nitros. Usually with a 3S 2200mah, as that's what they have from their Trex 450s et cetera.
Be sure to use both power leads. If there's no spare port for the second one on the 3GX, put it in a Y cable with one of the servos.Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

That's good to know. I thought it should be ok on a 3s pack but didn't like to say categorically as the CC spec only lists minimum of 16v inputOriginally posted by bigpops View PostPlenty of folks I know run a Castle BEC pro on their Nitros.
