  • raptor 50 clutch bell removal!!

    hi all! the lining had come away from the clutch bell so am trying to replace!!i have removed engine and fitted a new clutch but how does the clutch bell come out so i can fit new lining?? ive removedtwo set screws from hex starter but cant get that or clutch bell to budge! any advice??

    if it was built right it will have been loctited into the pinion bearing in the frames

    chances are that if your replacing clutch stuff then the bearings will be knackered too.

    so its time to split the frames and replace the mainshaft and clutch stack bearings whilst your in there. its a royal pain splitting the frames so its worth replacing all the bearings.

      When I had a Raptor I had the same issue getting the hex coupler of the starter shaft. Turned out to be I had done the setscrews up to tight and didnt have it aligned on the flats. This had caused burrs/misshaped the start shaft jamming the coupler on there. Needless to say lots of cursing, heat, mole grips and a hammer it came off eventually, then had to replace the whole assembly as I had well and truely knackered it taking it off.
