  • N9, how much is it worth?

    Hi all,

I'm selling my N9 as it isn't getting used and I'm trying to save up to fly a MiG-15 for my 30th.

So in general it seems better if I sell the electronics separately?

So how much is the airframe, blades and engine (OS MAX SX) worth?
I also have a whole other one for spares, unbuilt in the box.

Any ideas of what I could get for the above airframe etc?

    Thanks,
    Danny

    Sadly Danny, not a lot!

These were an awesome heli back in the day but things have moved on. I assume they are Flybared models which also doesn't help them sell either.
Your best bet will be to split the RTF one and sell the airframe off on its own I'd say.

Thanks, unfortunately I thought that might be the answer!

What can I expect roughly for the airframe? £100, £200?

One big factor is the availability of the crown gear. I heard a while back that someone was making them. That was probably the single biggest negative, so if you can get them again then it's actually a very good airframe (and easily converted to FBL).

Got 2 n9 and one e9, great model and will be getting some use in the summer, just fly it until you break it, because they don't wear out.

Would like to say that because a FB N9 is not the latest thing since sliced bread (ON HEAR ) doesn't mean its worth nothing,
If old 90 Rappy's are still going for £200 / £250 then a Synergy N9 frame alone must be worth £200 at least, the engine, if in reasonable condition another £100, at least,
There will be someone out there who's always wanted a N9 but was restricted by budget in getting one, now they have chance,
I would like one but haven't really got the room, plus the misses would notice another heli that size,
If you're not in to much of a rush for funds, I would put the frame engine and blades on flea bay, and the spare boxed frame separately, reserves of £300 and £125
