  • whats needed to Convert to FBL

    morning all,

    - 200-408 Synergy 50 Size Flybarless Head
    - FBL control unit (prob vbar/silverline)

Is there anything hardware wise i would require?

      Hi Daz,

That pretty much covers everything that you will need to convert your N5 to FBL, the only things you may need is some alternative servo output arms depending on which ones you currently have fitted. With FBL on the N5 you need to be using a servo output arm with a spacing of 10/10.5mm out from the centre spline for the ball position.

The standard pitch links are fine if you plan on installing the head at the standard position which is the highest setting but if you plan on using one of the lower positions then you may require some shorter links.

Other than that, all you need is the Synergy FBL head and a FBL controller and your good to go!

Hope this helps, if you need anything just give me a shout.

Sorry to jump in on this thread but I'm looking to convert my 700 to FBL and was wondering if you need specific FBL blades or if the blades I have (690D) would be ok?

P.S. I realise you're on about the N5 but no one mentioned the blades
