Just assembling my new Redline56 for the N5 and noticed the centrifugal clutch seems to be going in the wrong direction, or at least not the way I think it should go.
On all Rappy’s and other heli’s I’ve done, the clutch opens out with the trailing edge of the expanding part of the clutch leading to the expansion gap, anti clock wise.
But with the N5 clutch it’s the other way round with the gap and then the expanding sharp edge of the clutch gripping the liner first, which I’m sure is wrong.
I’ve double checked the clutch is mounted correctly as per manual and also seem to recall noticing this the first time I built the heli.
Anyway, the clutch can only go on one way by way of the fan hub mounting and pre assembled one way bearing.
Has anybody else noticed this??
