  • Sell my N5, or save for a G4??

I really love my N5, but I really love the look of the Raptor G4! I keep looking at the super combo on FL and hovering above the buy button! But there is no way I can afford both. Or do I can the idea and buy an N5C and transplant the electrics and sell the N5 airframe?!!

So just to put the feelers out, what sort of price could I expect for my N5? There are a few scratches on the swash from my crap handling of ball link pliers, aside from that she is in excellent condition.

I sold my airframe through FL for around £200 and moved the gear to an X50. The N5c has undermined the resale value of the V1, but i'm sure you will sell it if you try. I guess once you fly the G4 you will lose interest in the N5. I just fly the X50 pretty much now - until I get the 7HV going

shame to say, but i think it'll be difficult to sell, as said above very little interest in the N5, personally I don't undestand why.

I get the same mate lots of Pm's with silly offers then when you get what you thinks a genuine respected member interested they let you down. Maybe eBay would be worth a punt seem to be lots of bids on helis there these days. Bit more expensive but if your serious about selling the N5 get it on the bay.

You'll get about £400-450 if selling rtf - I was quite tempted to buy one (rob barnes') due to the low prices but didn't want to get into nitro just yet.

I'd say keep it, as spares will be cheap due to all the airframes that are being sold, and although I've never seen one fly it looks like a really nice heli.

I think in general nitro machines have taken a back seat over the last 18 months or so with the huge interest in electric machines, i still have my original N5 and i love it!! It is one of the most reliable machines i have owned and is huge fun to fly!!

I say keep it and fly it and have fun flying it!!
                  Thanks!
