My "Jinxed" N5

The N5 is broken again after the rebuild, sure the bl**dy thing's jinxed,

Was test running it in the back garden this evening before the light went,
spooled up nicely, then after about a minute, at half throttle, zero pitch on the ground,, it jumped and flipped over, "Sh*t"
On inspection it looks like the screw came out of the aileron servo horn,
Its now a mangled wreck in my garage,,, and I think that's where its going to stay,,, for quite a while,

One min spool up, cost: £120

Wish I hated this sport,,, I would'nt have an empty wallet

Thats a shame mate , hope you get it up in the air again. Thats the thing with helis even one small screw can destroy a heli

Bad luck Tripler, just one little bolt and "Wham !" Really sucks that M8. It's one of the reasons I do an A/F inspection at home after a day at the patch, where I won't get distracted and basically give it a good 100% check over, just like a full sized A/C. I do similar before flying as well. Ain't going to stop me banging the heli into the ground but I know it wont be because I missed a loose connection etc. Soon be fixed buddy, if the wallet can take the strain.

I'm off work at the moment (back problem) I've stripped the heli down for repair,
not as bad as I thought, apart from new blades required, which I'm not getting till its up and running well, I'll use some Align blades till then. (anybody use Spin blades on an N5, anygood??)
Ordered the parts from Climb out as Midland are closed for stock take etc and Fast lads did'nt have a part, ordered online so
it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to arrive.
Really want to get it flying again as I was getting to like more with every flight.
Hopefully have it ready for the weekend,

Wish I could order new bits for my back to get me up and running!!

Sounds a really good bargin,, and I would like to buy it, but I just have'nt got room in my garage
I have 7 helis, 3 planes and a few crates of beer in there at the moment and I sure "she who must be obayed" would notice
another heli hanging from the ceiling,

If you get it repaired the wind looks light for the weekend so will probally be a bit foggy as well hows your back???

Have it all repaired, and checked everything looking good with the blades from "Bladestriker" (nice bargin)
Ran it up in the garden and no bangs or funny noises,,
Looking forward to the weekend for a proper test fly;
One question those of you with an N5, which tail blades and lenght have you found to work best with the heli I'm going to try these, Sab red Devil's 92x32mm
