Any luck selling N5?

I've noticed a number of people have been selling their N5s. Has anyone had any success at letting these go for sensible money rather than silly money?


Think I saw an airframe sell for £170 odd of t'bay.

The reason I ask is that i can't stand nitro, really want to get rid of this model and rapidly coming to the conclusion i'm going to have to take a big hit.

i guess it comes back to the old saying "something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it".

Personally i think things just are not selling in general, people seem to be watching the pennies again so unless you are giving stuff away it will not sell!! Saying that, i've seen a few cheap models out there with silly cheap prices on them and even those have not sold!!

Everybody has Align fever so if it has'nt got an Align badge on it they are not interested. There are not that many people out there who want a machine of this class!!

If you want to sell if you have to take a hit on it and sell it for 'Silly' Money just to shift it or wait for the right person to come along who wants that particular machine.

I knew it wouldn't fetch huge money, but gotta say I was surprised it went that cheap!

Unless it's got Align written on the side, nothing seems to be selling well at the moment.

I don't think any nitros are selling well at the moment, seems everyone is battery mad at the moment.
I was thinking of selling my aurora to get a logo or trex 550, but I would take such a hit I have changed my mind and am not going to bother

So what are you going to do with it instead then James?

Fly it? Great idea - worth its weight in gold.
Leave it on the shelf? Won't earn a penny there in either smiles or cash.
Put it on eBay for 99p? That's 99p more than it will get sitting on the shelf.

No Steve i will continue to fly it and enjoy it, as i did tonight, for a quick flight, the only reason i want a mid size elec is because a local farmer lets me use a field, but there are houses only about half a mile or less away and don't want them moaning about me flying there and then i loose that privilage.
I love my aurora, and want to keep it but i can't do everything, but am not going to give it away either

I remember last summer people
Were going mad for electrics and then winter time will bring out the nitro's again that's the time to sell

Or you could "donate" or sell it to the your / local club as a training machine? Maybe for a years membership? Then everyones a winner!

I should say, that now i have an OS50 installed i've been much, much more happy with mine and so shall be keeping it

Logos are the flavour at the moment, no trouble selling those I reckon
