So a few weeks ago when putting the n5 back together after a clean up and general maintenance I noticed that when spinning the head counter and clockwise it would snag the engine and turn it as well. Being British, as we do, I kept spinning the head in both directions to free what ever was snagging. Now it seems to spin as it should do clockwise but when I spin it in the opposite direction its still snagging the engine and spinning it also as well as catching on something else, I assume.
Its been a while since I've flown and have very little desire to fart about with this and was pretty close to throwing the towl in earlier while at the field, even though I've just completed my first ever few inverted circuits on 500
.
So anyway does this sound like a one-way bearing issue or something else, the starter coupler needs replacing as its slipping also and there seems to be vertical movement in the actual shaft, possibly where I've been apply to much downward force to get the grub screw to catch the shaft.
Any help is appreciated.
