  • Elevator arm

I seem to recall that there was a new Elevator arm for the N5 that used a 4mm grub screw. Does anyone know if this is the case and what the part number might be.

...i have slippy, slippy elevator arm again...

    cheers
    me.

As far as i'm aware there is no new part number for the modified elevator arm and they will just replace the current arm with the 3mm set screw as stock works its way through.

You could get an M4 tap and retap the current arm for the 4mm set screw or you could use a flat point M3 set screw.

The reason the elevator arm slips is that the original M3 require a flat tip, you can change out to a flat point set screw or just simply flatten the head with a needle file which is quite easy to do and takes a few seconds, but make sure you flat it at 90 Degrees otherwise the set screw will twist the arm as it tighen's up on the shaft.

I would probably recommend that you replace the arm control shaft also as it may be become worm/damaged if the elevator arm has slipped, if you do this and also change out the grub screw to a flat point set screw then you should'nt have a problem.
    Thanks!
