  • Clutch always biting

I started the n5 up earlier to keep the engine ticking over and despite the lack of flights it purred lovely.

This isnt a major issue of what I have below but I was wondering how to solve it.
The heli isnt totally new and that is the thing despite I feel having time to run in, basically when idling no matter where the idle trim is the heli will still tend to spool up slightly. I thought by now the clutch liner would of warn down but as I said it still seems to bite slightly. At least this is what I think is the problem.
The n5 has an OS50 in it.
    Any ideas.

nmm I need to strip down sometime and give it a clean, it flys great at the moment and don't want to upset anything also trying to find the time. Could it be the clutch shoe is over sized a bit.

        Hi

I had the same problem. Emailed Matt Botos and he suggested sanding the clutch liner down slightly. I got around the problem by using an align 600 clutch liner with a thin strip of paper to space it out slightly and now its about perfect - idles with blades stationary and bites as soon as you increase throttle.
        Cheers
