It's finaly built and ready to fly.

I'm amazed at the quality and build of this heli.
As far as the build goes it was pretty much trouble free. I did change the supplied clunk tube as it didn't seem to be very supple.
keeping the wiring neat is a bit of a pain just like the outrage but no biggie, will be much easier using the 7100rx with everything in one unit.

    spec goes
    V blades main Nhp tail
    3x JR8915 cyclic
    1x align ds520 throttle
    1x align ds650 tail
    Futaba gy 520 gyro
    Spectrum 9000 rx
    perfect regulator 6v rigid
    thunder power 3400mah
    O.s 55hz
    O.s power boost pipe

I was also very suprised at the fact all my links were set EXACTLY to the sizes in the manual and i have ended up with a perfect +11 -11. and zero pitch smack bang at centre stick.

I would happily build these heli's all day long loved every minute.

Looking good!! Nice Job!! nice to see more N5's getting out there now! It really is an Awesome machine!!

Another quick tip, just check the front/bottom canopy mounting center post and see how far the thumb screws thread in, if they don't thread in fully take an M3 tap and just extend the threaded portion slightly, this will allow more of the bolt to thread in and allow you to fully tighten up the thumb screw so they dont vibrate loose and drop out.
    Thanks!

          No Worries!, Anytime!

I did find the wiring pretty painless but i did use a Spektrum AR7100R on mine and i also used some shorter cables between the Futaba GY520 and the receiver, made things much neater as there was'nt a mile of wires all over the place.

These are the Shorter Futaba gyro cables i used: Fast Lad Performance

Black Rudder Lead: Fast Lad Performance
Red Gain Lead: Fast Lad Performance
          Thanks!

yeah it makes you feel like you are getting better at making and setting these things up, but then you sit back and remember you did the thing that no man ever admits too and read the destructions.

            Shame on us all.

Instructions - what are they. Theres usually a book thing that comes with the heli but i use that as an Align towl.

As the other post said its nice to see a few more n5 showing up .

Yes it's a nice feeling when you have the full recommended + / - pitch setting, when I finished the GAUI X5 two weeks ago I had the setting spot on.
I don't know how the X5 compere's to the rex 550 but it's a nice little pocket rocket.

Welcome to the Club! & enjoy,,
My 5 was nose heavy using a 4100 sub C, change to an Align 2 in 1 with
1900 Lipo and now much better,
I know its a small batt, but after one flight it only used 256 mih amps so should easy get two safe flights before charging and that does'nt take long
at the field, gives me time to fly somthing else
oh yes,, have you silicon oiled the belt and make sure the rear guide roller turns,, I did'nt flys much better now

                              Thanks trippler.
Im gonna take a tin of silcone spray from work as a leaving present so will give it a good old lube before maiden.
I have checked checked and re checked all bolts nuts rollers and tx rx settings gyro settings and everything is and seems to be fine. Im gonna get some poor soul or lucky soul to have a good looksy over incase i have missed something.

I have a 3400mah batt on at the moment and with the align 1900 on the COG is a little better
