  • RX placement

Happy Christmas everyone hope youv'e had a cracker (pun very much intended.)

I might have asked a question similar to this when I first got the N5 but im struggling to find a decent postition for the RX at the moment.
For the time being its on its side half velcrowed under the angled tray at the front of the heli buts its not ideal and keeps coming loose because the servo cables etc are a little tight so its hard to keep it there.

Any better places or possible pics.
    Thanks everyone.

I have my Rx (AR7100R) mounted on the top angled section of the front avionics tray with double sided Velcro and a Velcro strap for security, this gives good access for all the wiring etc.. I have the LiPo mounted on the front section with doubled sided Velcro and a strap for security.

I will get a photo of my installation and post it later.
    Thanks!

Wouldn't mind seeing this photo Rossco sounds a good deal.
I didnt want to put battery on front because of taco'ing it but I suppose the RX batts are cheap enough and arn't as big as normal packs. I got a rough idea of how youv'e done it but a Piccy would be great when you have a spare minute.

      Thanks Rossco.

Try this, uploaded from my iPhone so not sure what the quality will be like!

Edit: it wouldn't show the pic I uploaded so found one from RCHeliresource from the OHB in the US. I will upload my pictures once I get access to my laptop later. But for now this should give you an idea as to how I have mine situated.

I was about to upload a photo of my setup, but then I noticed the above shot taken by RCHeliresource. That's my bird!

              lol, the chances .

Glad it sports the beastX otherwise there would of been a new thread labeled 'beastX positions' lol.

              How does it fly beeflyer.

It flies amazingly well. Very smooth and fluid, zero bad tendencies. Fast, locked in, predictable, all good!

Here's some photo's of my Rx and avionics placement on my N5, i'll soon be going FBL on mine so will be trying either a CYE TotalG or BeastX.

Nice install there Beeflyer! I'm tempted to give a BeastX a go on my N5.
