  • At last got my N5

    Guys,

Finally got my N5 from my LHS having ordered it in May, and all I can say is wow.

The small box which contains most of the heli is like Aladdin's cave, haven't opened the bags yet but the quality looks to be really first class.

Have noticed that all the balls are only part installed, finger tight and no loctite - so this is good.

The head is huge and immensely strong looking, reckon the whole heli will break before that does.

Trouble I have now is that I have to work away from home for the rest of the week, so can't start the build till the weekend!!

Take it with you then it's good to see they have listened and reacted to the initial over zealous use of industrial strength locktite!

Excellent!!..Nice to see more N5's getting out there!

Trust me, you will really enjoy this machine!! The quality is superb, the build is easy and enjoyable and at the end of it you have a machine that's simply awesome!!

Nice to see they have listened to the feedback for the second batch of kits.

The only problem now is, i have to resist in buying a second N5!!
        Thanks!

Squeaky is selling his to get a second 90. I'm selling mine because 9 helis is just too many to keep and maintain. The new batch has no threadlock on the balls to stop people snapping the threads. Dunno if they have dealt with the one way sleeve and main shaft clamp.

i sold mine because it is too heavy and i don't like it overall after having it a short time. the other 2 guys in my club sold/ are selling theirs because they are too heavy as well and subsequently they fly that way. some people across the world say they fly light-that is far from my feelings on it. i have owned just about every 50 on the market for the last 4/5 years and only the hirobo evo and rappy 50 felt heavier than this in the air. that isn't what I wanted from it and i emphasise that is what i wanted. i understand others will like it and that is cool.

if anyone wants a NIB kit then hit me up as i can point you in direction of one the owner doesn't want to build anymore.

                        cheers

Grant, to be honest I like the heli but I just want something I can take down the field on the odd occasion I manage to get out and simply fly.

The N5 has not been that heli, so thinking of maybe selling the airframe and going back to another 600 LE which I know I can put together and fly straight from the off.

Do you mind me asking what power plant you had in yours before you decided to sell up?

I'm going with a new OS 55 and Funtech B320 pipe, which I would have thought was enough power to make it shift - is lightness in the air a relative term, based on power to weight ratio and speed of response.

Clearly you are a much better pilot than me, but i have seen enough videos to make me think that it isn't that heavy.

Also, I guess if you use strong components assembled on a rigid platform - it will be slightly heavier than some more popular brands.

I to am a little surprised at the amount I'm seeing for sale and somewhat surprised.

I hav only seen one in the flesh an omg it looks so much better than what you see on the websites and the way it was being flung around made it look far from heavy but then it was Jamiem flying it

It does look very solid so maybe to get it solid that's where the little extra weight has come from.

If I were still nitro I would defo have one of these
