  • Synergy N5 Pics

Just clocked up flight number 10 this afternoon on my N5. Fitted with a new NR57 so more power to come once leaned out. I'm very impressed with the N5 and think Matt has nailed the design. Straight line acceleration is brilliant and the head can be tweaked to your preference. I'm running the head setup as per Matts suggestion with CY600 SB mains and rotortech paddles with weights all the way out so could be faster and even at these settings she's very agile. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to fly an N9 on speed then try a N5. Another very happy customer.

such a slim design... looks anorexic compared to other 50's

Enjoy, it looks like a nice machine!

Mines coming along but I've hit what appears to be a slight problem as there are no balls in the kit for my tail blade holders Assumed they would be in the blade holders or at least in the same bag. I'm now just waiting to see if I have any spares when all is finished. I also only have the blade bolts in the bag with the canopy screws etc. so I'm hoping they fit the Ally tail blade holders...

Not the first time I have read stories of missing bits in kits on here, surely should not happen in a kit of this calibre :S

          Looks good though

Phil, just looked back through my build pics and the balls for my tail grips were in the same packet as the grips, so if yours were not in there, get on the phone to climbout tomorrow morning and I'm sure they will have them out to you for Tuesaday

Justin, love the N9 skids, got me thinking for sure

What boom clamp are you using? Looks better/lighter than the use of the N9 one in the kit.

Cool I thought they had no spares though?

A mate who binned his N5 has bought another kit to allow him to get it in the air again straight away so has offered me the bits but I will deffo give Climb Out a call to save him the hassle

The balls are all shared with the N9, so they will have plenty of those

I guessed they might be similar but was unsure about the offset etc.

As an aside should there be a shim to go between the Bell Mixer and the Main Grips? None in my kit and the manual shows none on the plastic grips but mine bind on the grip when done up?

Apologies to Shuglu for thread hijack

I'm still not liking the Canopy on the N5 but it does not hide the fact its in a different league of heli's!!

Hey Justin, have you got any shots of the skids out of the grass? Do they look too big for it? And how did you make them black? Dye?
The skid set is definitely gonna be changed on mine pretty soon after it's built and it'd be nice to keep it Synergy.

Phil, No shims on my Bell mixers and no binding mate. I am having trouble getting the main grip thrusts running smoothly though.
