  • Swashplate Stiffness

How free is the pivot ball at the middle of your swashplate as mine is really stiff. If it's turned thru 90 degrees so only two sides are touching the bearing then its nice and free but as soon as its put into its conventional posistion it needs at least a couple of pounds torque to move the swash.

Soaked it with GT85 to no avail, just wondering if its likely to free up or I need to contact My supplier.

I can't say mine felt overly tight when I built it. I you can move the centre ball by hand without having to really force it, I would say that's ok. It will bed in once in use anyway. I'd use a light triflow type oil to lube it rather than a spray oil which is very very thin and will wash away quickly.

Well if I hold the ball from below and above the swash between finger and thumb I can turn it but its pretty stiff. Will use a thin oil and see how it goes.

Hate to say this but the swash on mine is pretty free, no stiffness at all
