Well I sold my Trex 700 last week to get the money for one of these!! I was thinking about getting a Fury 55, but seeing the pre-production pics on Matts site I've decided to wait for one of these!

I'm on the pre-order list for one.

          Going with the following:

          Synergy N5
          Novarossi 57
          Outrage Pipe
          Magnum 30
          Futaba 9451s for Cyclic
          JR 8900G on Tail
          CSM 720
          CSM Revlock
          CSM Cyclock
          AR7000
          Perfect Regulator

          and

620mm Blades - Still deciding which to get!

As advertised it says 600-620mm I think

I only know one set of 630mm the SWE, so not many to choose from.

But there are a few options in the 620mm market atm and I think by the end of the year there will be alot more 620mm choices!

Radix are one of the best all round 3D blades IMO, so hoping Curtis has some 620mm in the works!

i think you may be best with 600's since the distance from blade bolt to blade bolt is 157mm from centre to centre.. From conversations with Matt i have had he is saying that he likes the model with 600's on best because the Rotor disk is bigger than the normal 50 because of the blade bolt spacing..

                hope this helps

                    That's good to know!

                    Loads of 600mm blade options!

Only two things left to know now:

                    1) What the painted canopy looks like?
                    2) When will they be here !!!

                          Hi Ross,

My Trex 700 was fine but nothing special IMO. For the money it is a good heli but my Synergy N9 flew better IMO.

But the main reason is that I just prefer flying 50s. After the 'new model' feeling went I went back to flying my NSP and the 700 wasn't getting flown. And I can only justify having models that I fly regularly, so I think one of the new breed 55 machines is the way to go for me.

90s are great and if I was still big into the Comp Scene that would be the only way to go. But for now a new N5 looks just the ticket!!

                          Paul

The Weight of my pre-production machine ready to fly is 7lb 8oz bear in mind that my machine has a N9 boom on it which has been cut down, from my discusions with Matt he as told me that the production N5 Boom will be lighter than my one.. Flys very very light indeed and tracks great, i've put a few more tanks through it today and i had to remind myself i am flying a 50 since it feels like a 90 in the air :-)

any info on pricing for spares and the metal bits?

what exactly comes with the kit metal wise?

i.e is the frame cross braces all metal like the n9?

                              cheers

Metal wahout arms, swash, ccpm bell cranks, frame braces, engine mounts etc all standard. The upgrade package will be main grips, tail grips and main bearing blocks
