My thoughts in a bit more detail. Plastic mains and tails are just fine, the model certainly didnt feel soggy or like it lacked anything as a result of having these, and in actual fact they are huge! Very very chunky. This theme is continued across the machine. The metal washout arms are seriously beefy (metal), the tail belt is very chunky and according to Matt's testing, is very durable. The frame layout is just very very simple and well thought out. The servo block is removable to allow servo installation, the centre engine mount is massive, to both brace the frame and also reduce vibration through the frames from the engine. While on the engine mount, the side mounts that the engine bolts to are also metal, and combined with the metal centre block should be very good for acting as a heatsink and drawing heat away from the engine, and in actual fact they were quite warm to touch after a flight. The tailbox is super simple in design, 2 side pieces with 2 metal clamps around the boom, 4 bolts and nylocks to secure - very easy to tension the belt from here.

Flight characterstics. Im no 3D master by any means, but I had a good play with it over 3 flights, and despite a slightly poorly engine, it still flew very well. Super accurate, just like the N9, tracks through big moves very nicely, even in the 15+ mph wind on Saturday. The one thing that struck me in a big way was the pitch response. Very very quick and sharp, and even when pitch pumping violently, there was no bounce in the stops or deviations through frame/linkage flex.

I cannot wait for mine now! It's not far off

The N5 enthusiasm across the pond is very exciting! It's good to see someone other than myself enjoying the N5. I can't wait to come over to the UK and fly with you guys! Seems like a fun bunch of guys to hang out with!
