Maybe, but I'll also bet there are major issues with both before there is with the N5. Align release quickly and allow the public to do the beta testing, pay for the required upgrades, but still everyone keeps going back for more. This has been teased for a while, but has been tested heavily for what must be well over 700 flights on one machine now. You pay yer money and make yer choice.

The N5 is in final stages and is just awaiting the Canopies to be completed, so the wait is nearly over and i am sure once people get there hands on this model they will relise that it has all been worth the wait..:-)

Ben .... puleeeease! chalk and cheese. Until Align go for narrow format frames with proper bell hiller mixing arms on the blade grips and cnc mill from billet aluminium instead of cast from swarf, there will be no comparison. oh yeah and then bring out a second version 6 months after and call it an SE when it's just the first version with some of the problems fixed...... Failign.

I predict you will own one (N5) as will I and gradually people will see the light. I didn't want to like it as I have too many helis, but I do. It ticks all the boxes.

I don't compare the 2 manufacturers as it is obvious why.

Having had a high end model the differences are clear but the aligns do it so cheaply and easily, build it and fly.

As you say it ticks the right boxes and I think charmouth helped that too as more people are saying they want/like them.

As for your prediction,
I did want one originally then I changed my mind and thought it might be better to wait a short while.
But now seeing as the release has been so much later than first predicted this has inspired confidence as they must have come across a few probs and decided to sort them before release.

So wil I get one? Well after the recent threads/pics/vids no doubt but when is the question.

Do I continue having fun with the 600 and playing with the others or do I rush out and buy one straight away.
Can I hold off buying a 550 if they come out first??

Do I Want One ??

Well, maybe after a few months and all of you guy's have sorted out any building gripes, then I'll dive in (maybe !!)

It's a nightmare to make a choice at the moment with other 50 size machines predicted to hit the market place shortly (ie: T-Rex 600V2, Aurora 50 etc) Mind you, it will not surprise me at all if we also see or hear of a Rave 50ENV or a Vibe 50SG sometime within the next 12 months. None of the major manufacturers will want to be left behind thats for sure.
