I'm a new owner of a N5c and i'm using the vx1n fbl unit. can anyone help me as i'm not sure ive got the correct head setting in the vx1n. its currently set in Rigid mode. I ask because it flys great until it comes to tictocs and then I get bad head bobble on the stops. Is it a normal or rigid in the vx1n setup?

• Rotorhead Type - Select the rotorhead type of your helicopter.
Norm= Regular design head with rubber dampeners.
Rigid= Regular design head with hard nylon (or similar) rings instead of dampeners.

The head of the N5c is a normal type head, rigid is usually a 'DFC' style head or rigid like the TDR setup. A rigid head setup commonly has a solid damper type setup usually made out of delrin or similiar material.
I don't much experience with the VX1 unfortunately but i believe that there is a parameter in the VX1 tuning menu for Ail/Ele De-Bounce which may help.

Once you've set the type of rotorhead if you're still seeing it you could try dropping the main cyclic gain a point or two.
Or if you're happy the main gain is good, take a look at the advanced rotor settings. Under Advanced PID Tuning there's DE and DA which are the D gains for elevator and aileron. I'm told reducing these a small amount can help with a bobble on the stop in a tic-tock.
I generally recommend tuning the cyclic using a stationary pitch pump though. In a tic-tock there's a lot going on, and often it can be tail behaviour causing the disk to wobble. Surely it depends on the dampener setup. For instance I use POM in a standard fbl head on the 700 and use the VX1 on rigid. Don't get wobbles on tick tocks but do on the e700 on standard settings, even though the dampers are very hard. Haven't been able to get rid of it completely although cyclic gain did help a bit, haven't gone to the lengths of PID tuning yet
