I got an E7 TT

I've just ended the building of my brand new Synergy E7 Torque Tube edition.

I'm very pleased about the material's quality and design.

Being fond to the Jive and his governor i choose to assembly this heli with a PowerJive using his BEC at 6,0V. Savox SC1258TG seemed to me a good choice to drive the cyclic and a Futaba BLS251 to govern the tail. A mini V-Bar was the only option into my mind (yes, I'm addicted..). Obviously Rail blades completes the model; 696 is the main's size and 116 the tail's.

To properly push this beauty could not miss a GMauro motor: this 4035 is a special edition 6+6x1,4mm YY, 460kv; it has been a not easy realization, but i needed a low kv with the biggest wire size possible.

Hope that the wheater permits me to maiden the model tomorrow.

Maides goes right, unfortunately i had little time so i did only the trim flight.
This heli runs so smooth, i'm really satisfied.


I did, also, a bench test without blades and the spektrum analyzer shows a max vibe spike of 148. That's amazing! The transmission is perfect!


Motor work is fine, with an average current drain of 33A in hover at 2200rpm and of 17A at 1660rpm.



I set the max tx throttle curve at 64% that's mean aronund 90% of PWM in hover; that curve gives 2200rpm. I need to do some 3D flight and observe how many times the PWM reaches the saturation. A good option may be swap the current 14T pinion with the 15T and lower the curve at 58%. It depends by the torque that this motor can put out..


My plan for today is to do a couple of flights and see how i feel with this beauty .

Spectacular!


This heli is so smooth, it's a pleasure to see it in flight.
I had a couple of flights, quite, not smacking.


This E7 is so silent, even at max headspeed. It have a nice presence in the air, i found it precise and predictable.
Surely some more flight will be necessary to tweak properly the v-bar setups, but already with "my standard" is very good.


My concern about the higher curve is now less bad; in both flights i ran max HS and the PWM saturation was contained:




Very good, a model to recommend to my friends.
