  • e7 auto hub sleeve movement

Just finishing off my e7 and have noticed some play int the auto hub sleeve to main shaft. The bolt is tight yet the gear and hub/sleeve will slide up and down the main shaft a small amount. it also has a slright rock to Ian as though the clearance between the shaft and sleeve is not as good as it could be.
    Right
    is this normal?

    Thanks in advance guys cheers

    Good Morning Arron,

I have replied to your PM also but i will repost here in case anybody else has a similiar issue.

The auto hub assembly will have a very small amount of float but there should be no movement in the sleeve. One thing to check is that the bolt is not over tight as this can distort the sleeve, is it possible to send me a picture of the components so i can take a look?

The bolt hole in the sleeve should only be big enough for the M3 shouldered bolt to pass though and the sleeve should'nt rock on the mainshaft, from your description it sounds like you may have a faulty sleeve. I would contact the dealer where you purchased the kit and explain the problem and hopefully they will be able to get you sorted.

Failing that, i have a spare autohub assembly which i can loan you the sleeve from to get you up and running.

Let me know how you go and if you need any help just give me a shout!
    Cheers!
    Ross
