  • loving the E7.

Finally got the E7 dialed in today, now its rocking and i got to admit everything as good as my logo's, a little bit more aggresive though, i've settled on running my headspeed at 2050 idle 1 & 2200 idle 2.
Now the quaestion is do i build a E6 and sell one of my logo's? Mmmmm

        Nice one Ross.

I look forward to getting mine in the air. I sold my 600se soon as I started building this as I knew it would be every bit as good just more bling and up to date and designed to run as a 700

Still have my 3D but think that will go when the Srimok 600 comes out then that will be my last logo gone no denying Logo's are friggin awesome though!

Still love my logo's Ben, but these are just as good, one thing regarding the E7 just make sure you belt pully is not to tight and runs smootly when the belt moves over it and that the bolt below the belt is facing up, as it has a little slot to miss the belt otherwise it will catch on the boom.

How tight have you had to pull the belt up?

I always run a tight belt on all my heli's, i have 3mm from end of boom to where the clamp starts, and flush at the front.

There's a few things I do to check the tension of a belt.

Firstly I check it by hand, see how it feels

Then I spin the head to check for 2 things, how does it feel and how does it sound! Does it feel like there is too much or too little resistance and does it make any sounds suggesting its loose and flapping.
As well as any tips in the manuals as every brand is a little different with theirs

Careful with the belt, seen a club mate follow the tight as a nuns chuff method and seen it snap mid flight.

+1 For the above. It was very tight but without being so tight the belt was slapping the inside of the boom.

Had a couple more flights today and noticed on the reverse part of a rainbow I can distinctly hear the sound of the belt slapping the boom or something.

I'm going to have to go even tighter with belt.

Oh well but it was still flying awesome today and nothing else got a look in. Got to get me some of them Rc booya mounts as the stock ones are a nightmare. But it pulls so well with a 450kv motor and has plenty of torque and this is using a pryo.

                            Get that TT out!!!

/shameless plug Sounds like my 4035-450kv scorpion would be the perfect E7 motor
