Well my Synergy is all built now and just needs the vbar setting up so I thought I would share my thoughts on it.
I have never owned a Synergy before and the N5 was on my list ages ago but it never happened as I went all electric but the N9 all I ever heard was how good, solid, stable and quality it was so I did not have too many worries when buying the E6/7 considering its price as it is a bit on the pricey side, or is it. Well at first I thought yes it was based on the 600 market as this is well priced with the offerings from Align and others but I think I can safely say (having not seen a 600EFL) that it is well priced even as a 600 size and not taking into account you can have a 600 or a 700 size in a matter of, I reckon 20 minutes!
I said not too long ago "it looks like the Heli the Logo 600se should have been" and it appears it is. The Logo's design is bloody awesome, it's an old design but is goes to show just how right they got it as there has been no need whatsoever to change it but I think now the CF upgrade was brought out to better the ageing design, bring it up to date without having to design a V2 as it were.
Anyway, on to the Synergy.
First impressions are very good, I'm not talking about opening the box, I mean getting the components out and having a good feel and look. The parts count is like the Logo's, minimal. The CF frame and other little bits of CF appear to be very well made and of good quality. The metal head and all other metal parts also seem without testing them to be of high quality material.
The build itself is very straight forward and simple. It's a very quick build also and every part fits together with ease and no modding or this that and the other needed. The bearings and blocks are quality as is the main servo mount unit block bit, very good and this actually appears to give the servos better geometry than the Logo's. The links are dead straight up to the swash which is also very smart. The tail is a lovely piece of engineering and is silky smooth and along with the grips and bits that grip around the boom, quality.
The only issue I have had was one of the pitch rods had a knackered thread which a quick call to Midlands and the following day a new set of rods and links was at home waiting for me having been sent direct from Climb Out
(the distributors)
All in all everything is solid and it certainly looks like Matt got a Logo 600 and even though I thought it would not be possible, improved on the design as I can now say it is the heli the 600se should have been and because it is so closely related to the 600se I know it is going to fly every bit as good as the Logo.
Hopefully I will see this weekend and will shout on Sunday whether good or bad and you know me, if it's not it will be up for sale within a matter of weeks lol
(still absolutely love my Logo
