I'm just putting together a synergy e7se and have just upgraded the 11t spur gear to a 12t and now the gear is extremely tight. It says the frame is slotted to enable you to adjust the mesh but it doesn't appear to be so I can't adjust this mesh at all. Only part on the frame that appears to be slotted is the motor mount. Have I missing something or reading it wrong? It's a used Heli, so could it be that it was converted to an se and still has standard e7 frame?

frames should be obviously slotted and the gear assy should be pushed back towards the tail, its only half a mil or so but you will be able to feel it move in the slot. also make sure your torque tube front bevel gear hasnt been pushed forward by the torque tube as you push the gear assy back, that will make the gears feel stiff

Hi Cupracing,
As has been mentionwed above, the holes in the frame where the front transmission is secured will have a very slight oval shape to them to allow the front transmission assembly to be pushed fully forward or fully backward depending on the spur gear used.
Make sure the boom is not pushed fully up towards the front transmission assembly as it will stop it from moving. The edge of the boom should fit flush with the front boom clamp.
Picture below shows the front transmission assembly and the three securing points which will be machined to allow adjustment of the front transmission.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
